S&P Global hiring for DeFi leadership position

S&P Global is hiring a decentralized finance (DeFi) director, according to a job posting published by the financial company on LinkedIn on April 3.

That posting says that the new hire will be responsible for the company’s approach to decentralized finance as well as web 3.0 and the metaverse. It seeks applicants with a history of participation in the cryptocurrency market.

The posting suggests that the hire will be responsible for engaging with clients, creating ideas for products, thought leadership in research, and “overall franchise placement in markets,” among other things.

S&P Global is best known for its involvement in the S&P500 stock index, which tracks various leading stocks. The index is up 0.40% today.

The company also provides various cryptocurrency indices, including the S&P Bitcoin Index, S&P Ethereum Index, and broad market indexes.
