CryptoSlate Daily wMarket Update – Oct. 3: Ethereum, Solana lead top 10 crypto gains as market turns green

Total crypto market cap stood at $951.22 billion as of press time, up 2.53% compared to the previous day. After outflows of $15.67 billion during the weekend, the market cap saw inflows of $23.48 billion over the past 24 hours.

The market capitalization of the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), grew 2.92% to $379.06 billion from $368.28 billion the previous day. Ethereum’s (ETH) market cap, on the other hand, rose 3.42% over the past 24 hours to $163.96 billion.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies booked gains over the past 24 hours, with Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL) leading the pack at 3.41% and 3.35%.

The USD Coin (USDC) market cap continued to decline over the past 24 hours, dropping to $47.17 billion from $47.34 billion. The market cap of Tether (USDT) and BinanceUSD (BUSD) remained nearly stable at $67.95 billion and $21.05 billion, respectively.

Bitcoin

The price of Bitcoin climbed 3.19% over the past 24 hours to trade at $19,811.14 as of press time. Bitcoin’s market dominance rose marginally to 39.9% during the period.

Over the past 24 hours, BTC price dipped as low as around $19,133. Since around 14:00 UTC, the price of the largest cryptocurrency traded with an upward bias with frequent dips, starting a steady climb upwards at around 01:00 UTC.

Coinciding with Bitcoin’s gains, the U.S. stock market saw an uptick over the past 24 hours.

Ethereum

ETH led the rally over the past 24 hours, gaining 3.43% to trade at around $1,338 at press time. Ethereum’s market dominance improved slightly to 17.3% from 17.1% the previous day.

Like Bitcoin, ETH price rose steadily over the past 24 hours, with a few small dips. Around 08:00 UTC, the price of Ethereum fell to a low of $1,286, before continuing its upward climb.

Top 5 Gainers

Constellation

DAG booked the biggest gains over the past 24 hours, growing 19.21% to trade at around $0.08 at press time. The token’s market cap stood at $106.26 million at press time.

Ergo

ERG continued to solidify its gains over the past few days, gaining 18.21% to trade at around $2.90 at press time. Its market cap reached $170.06 million at the time of publishing.

Vulcan Forged PYR

PYR rose 17.15% over the past 24 hours to trade at $4.10 as of press time. The metaverse token’s market cap stood at $98.11 million at 06:00 UTC.

COTI

COTI bagged 14.41% gains over the past 24 hours to trade at $0.12 at press time. The digital payments token is up 30.39% for the month, while its market cap reached $139.43 million at press time.

BabyDoge Coin

BabyDoge recorded 11.78% gains over the past 24 hours, trading at around $0.0000000014 at the time of writing. The memecoin’s market cap stood at $163.78 million.

Top 5 Losers

Decentralized Social

DESO saw the day’s biggest decline after being the biggest gainer on Oct. 2, falling by 25.12% to trade at around $13.46 at press time, eliminating the majority of the gains from the previous day.  The token’s market cap reached $119.63 million during the period, down from $154.65 million the previous day. However, the token is still up 108.19% for the month.

Reserve Rights

RSR plunged 6.63% over the past 24 hours to trade at $$0.009 at the time of writing. The token’s market cap fell to $397.64 million during the period. RSR is up by more than 50% over the past month.

Fruits

FRTS fell by 1.97% over the past 24 hours and was trading at $0.013 at press time. The token’s market cap stood at $282.7 million. The token is trading 99% lower than its all-time high set in December 2021.

Helium

HNT price saw heavy volatility and was trading at $4.86 at press time — down 1.9% over the past 24 hours. The token’s market cap fell to $620.13 million during the period. The token has traded steadily downwards this year but bagged gains of over 19% over the past 30 days.

BinaryX

BNX fell 1.87% over the past 24 hours to trade at $155.40 as of press time, eliminating part of the gains it bagged over the past few days. Its market cap stood at $314.38 million at the time of writing. The token is up 269.38% over the past 12 months.
