Fundraising platform Pledge has now launched ‘PledgeCrypto’ which has now enabled non-profits to take crypto donations in over 130 prominent cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether are among the cryptocurrencies through which crypto donations can be accepted and instantly converted into fiat currencies.

Ariana Grande, the crusader of Trans rights has used Pledge to raise funds for Trans Visibility Day.

Grande had launched the “Protect and Defend Trans Youth Fund” and had stated that she would raise $1.5 million through the Fundraiser to match her own donation.

James Citron, CEO of Pledge, had mentioned, “Over 300 hundred million people around the world hold cryptocurrency today and want more than ever to support the causes they care about,” and also that they have made “it seamless for anyone to support the world’s largest network of 2+ million verified charities and for charities everywhere to seamlessly accept cryptocurrencies and further power their mission.”

Free and Fully Integrated Crypto Donation Platform

PledgeCrypto’s platform is the only free and fully integrated platform for both cryptos as well as fiat currencies. The donations made on this platform directly go to verified charity organizations.

It doesn’t require any technical expertise or experience, cryptocurrency wallet, or even KYC documents.

There are other charity partners such as The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Los Angeles, Big Brothers and Big Sisters LA, Streetcode Academy, Worthy of Love, Safe Place for Youth, CoachArt, Goodie Nation, and Taraji P. Henson’s Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation.

PledgeCrypto also has another feature where any user can create a fundraiser page for any campaign and cause they advocate for and then embed a donation button along with a form on the website itself.

This can be accessed through the non-profit’s ImpactHub.

Contribution To Carbon Offset Initiatives

Pledge has also introduced a unique initiative where each and every cryptocurrency transaction will support verified carbon offset projects by contributing to this initiative.

This support through the transactions will happen via United Nations Climate Neutral Now Initiative. The project is to make up for the environmental impact of cryptocurrency mining and transactions.

According to Pledge’s website, a lot of top non-profits have started to accept cryptocurrency payments through the platform itself.

The year 2021, has been phenomenal for the growth of digital assets but apart from that a lot of development has happened in terms of donations made via cryptocurrencies for campaigns and causes.

At the current moment, Ariana Grande’s Trans Visibility Campaign has gained about $725,672 from around 6000 donators.

This year itself, government officials in Ukraine had tied up with many cryptocurrency exchanges such as FTX and Kuna along with the staking provider Everstake.

Through this initiative, a donation platform was created for donators who were willing to donate through Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to send help to war-stricken Ukraine.
