A Dutch court approved a request from crypto mixer Tornado Cash’s developer Alexey Pertsev to be released under surveillance during an April 20 hearing, according to sources familiar with the matter.
He will be released on April 26 with an ankle monitor and will be able to attend his hearings from home.
The court previously rejected the request on the basis that he was a flight risk.
Pertsev was one of the lead developers behind Tornado Cash. He is a Russian national who was living in the Netherlands with his wife.
Pertsev was arrested in 2022 and has served more than 250 days in prison since.
This is a developing story. More details to follow….
