NSFW.App Will Exit Beta Phase To Offer A Censorship-Resistant Alternative to OnlyFans

Web3 introduces many new opportunities for adult content creators to explore revenue streams. Ever since OnlyFans threatened to ban such content from its platform, there has been a strong demand for censorship-resistant solutions. Blockchain technology and NSFW.app can be powerful tools in that regard.

Censorship-Resistant Adult Content Platforms Are Needed

The threat by OnlyFans to ban adult content from its platform did not last long. Even so, it sent a shockwave throughout the industry and highlighted the need for alternative solutions. Creators should always have true ownership of their content rather than centralized third parties. Moreover, those centralized third parties charge fees of up to 40% per transaction, which is entirely unacceptable.

The decision by OnlyFans to take a harsh stance toward this content triggered excitement across the cryptocurrency industry. More specifically, adult crypto coins saw a strong surge in popularity quickly, showcasing the alternative solutions out there. Even without Pornhub or OnlyFans, there will be ways to create, share, and monetize content.

Established creators have begun experimenting with these alternatives, including NSFW.app, since December 2021. The platform entered its beta stage at the time and attracted attention from Porhub stars LeoLulu and Instagram sensation Sarah McDaniels. Through the platform, they set up charitable efforts, indicating the versatility of what NSFW.app offers.

Why NSFW.app Is A Big Thing

The appeal of the NSFW.app platform goes beyond adult content. Although that is one of the main verticals today, the team will explore other entertainment genres, including music, gaming, and sports. In addition, any content deemed “not safe for work” will find a home here and remain resistant to censorship attempts forever. Moreover, the application is not just focused on content creation but also on mental health and emotional well-being.

At its core, NSFW.app aims to attract quality products for which viewers are willing to pay. As a result, content creators pay no fees, ensuring they can continually acquire more money to improve their productions. Additionally, the platform will invest in the well-being and educational initiatives regarding mental health and sexual safety. The team will conduct those initiatives in tandem with Pineapple Support, the premier adult entertainment health charity.

NSFW.app spokesperson and blockchain technology veteran Reuben Coppa adds:

“Finally, we’re getting to the tipping point for truly mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency. No longer will banks be the moral arbitrators for what content we share and consume. The application is designed to remove the stigma surrounding sexual exploration whilst supporting content creators both financially and emotionally. It’s a safe space for users to share and view content. We put their needs first.”

As NSFW.app is now ready to be taken out of beta, the community will receive a new set of updates in the coming months. Additionally, the team plans a brand overhaul and implements a cross-chain bridge to support more cryptocurrencies on BNB Chain and Ethereum. Major cryptocurrencies are supported for payments – including PornRocket – establishing a proxy payment tool to ensure user identities are kept secure. Moreover, financial institutions cannot dispute transactions.
