Ukraine To Immortalize Events In The War By Launching An NFT museum

Ukraine Ministry of Digital Transformation has launched a non-fungible token (NFT) museum to keep the memory of Russia’s invasion of the country. Although the NFT will include other events, the decision to launch one was spurred by the ongoing war in the country.

The Project Will Feature Only NFTs

The NFT collection details recent events in the ongoing war with Russia, including personal reflections on the part of Ukrainians and the international digital artists. However, the site and its content are not offered for free, as everything on the platform has a price tag.

The project, called Meta History Museum of War, will feature only NFTs, according to the announcement.

Each image is linked to an NFT token minted by the Fair NFT platform, using the Polygon network and the Ethereum blockchain. Additionally, all the images are not visible until they are sold. This means that a prospective buyers will not know exactly what they are buying until the deal is closed. “You unveil the truth buying MetaHistory,” the NFT museum stated.

Each NFT In The “Warline” Collection Costs 0.15 ETH

Assets will be sold in chronological order of the depicted dates, with each NFT in the “Warline” collection costing 0.15 ETH ($468). Minister of Digital Transformation and Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, says the new platform is a “place to keep the memory of war.” He added that the platform will provide a way to “celebrate Ukrainian identity and freedom.”

Funds derived from the sale of the NFT will be sent to the official accounts of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for civilian and army support.

Ukraine has received more than $100 million in crypto donations since the war started. The majority of the funds received were sent directly to the Ukraine government. Apart from individuals, crypto-based companies have also sent their donations. Earlier this month, UkaineDAO sold an NFT that depicts the Ukrainian flag, raising $6.75 million in the process.
